Nature and Conservation

Harold Simmons Park and Trinity Park Conservancy will be stewards of the Trinity River’s ecosystems.  We will nurture and protect this beloved greenspace.

Harold Simmons Park will showcase and embrace the rich and diverse cultures and history of Dallas, truly making Harold Simmons Park, a park for everyone.

Health and Wellness

Studies show that urban nature parks improve health and wellness of the community, and help decrease healthcare costs for individuals and families.  The park will measurably contribute to a healthier Dallas by promoting outdoor recreation, social connection, and connection to nature.

Economic Development

Harold Simmons Park has been partnering with civic and community organizations to create smart and equitable economic development opportunities for surrounding neighborhoods; Harold Simmons Park will play a central role as an economic driver for Dallas, attracting an estimated 6-8 million visitors each year and influencing the city’s tourism revenue.  In addition, the park will bring new job opportunities, and benefit local businesses, and vendors. Harold Simmons Park is conservatively forecasted to generate over 8 billion dollars in economic impact in the first 30 years of operation.
